LAJAS: Un paro cardiorespiratorio, aparentemente causado por ahogamiento, provocó el domingo el deceso de un turista de nacionalidad india que había estado de vacaciones en el área de La Parguera. Sajin Nairponn Ambathbal de 33 años de edad, presentaba problemas respiratorios antier a las 6:30 pm, cuando fue auxiliado por paramédicos estatales y llevado en la lancha de la Unidad Marítima de la Policía de Guánica, desde Cayo Enrique hasta el muelle del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez en La Parguera.
Desde allí fue conducido hasta el Centro de Diagnóstico y Tratamiento de Lajas, donde el doctor Roberto Molina, certificó que el visitante no tenía signos vitales. Las autoridades descartan que haya mediado mano criminal en la muerte de este ciudadano hindú, quien residía en el estado de New Jersey.
El informe policiaco no precisó si el turista estaba acompañado de otros familiares al momento de sufrir la condición que le causó el deceso. No obstante, el fiscal José Aldebol y el agente Samuel Lugo, de la División de Homicidios del CIC en la región de Mayagüez, asumieron jurisdicción en la investigación.
